Out-of-Home Streaming must be set up when you are on the same network as the TiVo device.

 
Setting up streaming
 

Streaming lets you watch live or recorded shows from anywhere. RPC is available for Series 4+ SUPPORT Please email at support@annies-ok.com for questions or support.

You can play any recordings that are downloaded to your device, but most other options are unavailable.

 

A Connect button in the upper right of the screen lets you access any available network.

TiVo App modes
 

The features and functionalities available with the TiVo App depend on whether or not the device is on the same network as the TiVo device.

 
In-Home Streaming
 

With In-Home Streaming, the Android mobile device and the TiVo DVR are on the same network.

You cannot set up Out-of-home streaming for the first time on an away-from-home network.

 

  1. Start Setup- Tap “Start Setup” to check for streaming devices.

  2. Favorite Channels- Allows user to select their favorite channels from within the application.

    This step allows us to focus in the right direction and maximize benefits for larger TiVo user base.

 

The following TiVo devices are compatible:

 

  • TiVo EDGE Series

  • TiVo BOLT Series

  • TiVo Roamio Series

  • TiVo Premiere Series

Installation and Setup

 
Setting up your TiVo App for Android
 

  1. Verify if you have Android 6 or later on your mobile device, and the latest software version on your TiVo device.

    Tapping on the Channel Number will take you to schedule for a specific channel. All functionalities are available while In-Home streaming.

     

    Out-of-Home Streaming: If the Android device and the TiVo device are on different networks, not all functionalities will be available.

     

    Offline mode: When no network connection is available, the TiVo App is in Offline mode.

    Whether you are a Sports fan, Movie buff, TV addict or just looking for appropriate programs for your kids, What To Watch will show you what's on for you.
    What to Watch also allows you quick access to your favourite shows available in your My Shows.
    The App completes the experience with a full Guide showing you what's on and upcoming on your TV so you can plan what to watch next, or create OnePass and single recording anywhere you are.
    My Shows now fully leverages TiVo's OnePass feature and helps you start watching your favourite shows in just a few taps.
    Search not only finds your favourite TV Shows and Movies whether they're on Cogeco On Demand, TV, Netflix, Amazon or any other provider supported through your TiVo DVR, but also includes searching for cast & crew and channels.
    Channel search will take you back to the guide from anywhere you are in the App and highlight the selected channel.
    Already watching a show on TV?

    Find more about it and explore its episodes and cast & crew with the App's Info screen.
    The App includes OnePass Manager and To Do List so you can manage your existing OnePasses and upcoming recordings anywhere you are.
    Finally, the App adds a remote for you to control your DVR from your mobile device.

My Shows
 

Use the My Shows view to see all of your recorded/downloaded programs.

 

  1. Tap the menu button on the upper left portion of your screen to view your recordings/downloaded shows, sports, series, movies, etc.

  2. Tap Edit to delete a show.

  3. Sort shows by Name or by Date.

 

To immediately play content on your mobile device, tap the play button.

Manage
 

Manage your To Do List and OnePass recordings, and view your DVR’s recording activity from within the TiVo app.

 

To Do List displays the same information on the Android device that you would see on the TiVo device’s To Do List.

OnePass Manager
 

OnePass Manager displays the OnePass recordings on the selected TiVo DVR.

 

Tapping Recording Activity can be used to view the recording activity on the selected TiVo device.

Info
 

You can view the Info screen at any time by tapping the Menu and choosing Info.

  • The only issue I have with the remote is that there is no power or volume buttons. To verify if you have the latest version of the TiVo software, see How to Force a Connection to the TiVo Service.

  • Choose Play Store.

  • Search for TiVo.

  • Tap INSTALL to download and install the TiVo App.

  • Open the TiVo App on your Android device.

  • Enter your My Account Email address and Password and tap Sign In.

  • Choose the DVR you want to use with the TiVo App.

    You can change this to a different device by going to Menu > Choosing the TiVo device from the drop-down menu.

  • Complete streaming setup.

    While in Guide, swiping to left/right moves the time in 30 minute increments.

     

    From Guide, tapping on a show will take you to Info Pane. TiVo Mobile apps for Android is still supported and available for Android Play Store enabled devices. No longer need a remote!I didn’t understand how to get it on my watch so I emailed the provided contact and received a near-immediate response.Choose this app for the service over any other third party, trust me.

  • Very helpful, particularly when my wife is screaming at me from other room that TV is having an issue.

    This allows you to toggle what type of guide is displayed on the App.

    From home, watch a show, download it, delete it, share it get or modify a OnePass.

    Download Options
     

    Select the quality/size of your program to download.

     

    Full system information requires a Wi-Fi connection.

    Voice Search
     

    Quickly search using natural language.
